Over ambition is an indie developer’s worst nightmare. It’s something we know is bad yet somehow manage to sleepwalk into time and time again. The result? Unfinished projects. So just how much content should you be aiming for? Try stripping the game back to the point where you would feel uncomfortable charging someone for it – the point where you think to yourself “I can’t sell this – there’s not enough stuff!”. This is a good starting (and ending) point for the content you should put into your game.
